What you will need

- Nameservers, if you already have hosting set up. If you do not, we provide Cloudflare Anycast DNS by default — no action needed on your part.
Step by step
- Check availability. Use the .gy WHOIS tool to see if your preferred name is free. It queries the registry live, so the result is current. You can also browse options on the Domains page.
- Pick your extension. If your first choice is taken on .gy, check .co.gy or .com.gy. Sometimes a small variation on the name also opens up better options.
- Choose your registration term. You can register for one year or multiple years. A longer term saves money (see pricing below) and means fewer renewal cycles to track.
- Submit your details. Fill in the registration form on the Domains page with your name, contact information, and preferred domain. No payment is taken at this stage.
- Pay via MMG. Once we confirm availability, we send you payment instructions. Payment is via Mobile Money Guyana (MMG). The registration does not proceed until payment is confirmed.
- We register and configure everything. After payment clears, we submit the registration to the .gy registry, configure your DNS on Cloudflare Anycast, and set up DNSSEC. If you need email help, we handle that too. The whole process typically completes within a few hours.
How much does a .gy domain cost?
The price is G$10,000 per year, flat, for any of the extensions listed above. There are no setup fees and no hidden charges.
If you register for multiple years, the effective rate drops. On a 10-year registration, for example, the effective cost works out to roughly G$7,500 per year. The full amount is paid upfront, so it is a trade-off between cash flow and overall cost.
How long does it take?
Typically a few hours from when payment is confirmed. In most cases it is faster. The registry processes the registration, we configure DNS, and your domain starts resolving. If you need everything live by a specific time, let us know when you submit the form and we will plan accordingly.

How do I check if a name is taken?

Can I transfer an existing .gy domain to OEsupplies?

What happens at renewal?
We notify you ahead of your renewal date. Renewal is at the same flat rate of G$10,000 per year. If you registered for multiple years, your domain renews at the end of that full term. Domains that are not renewed on time enter a grace period before they are released back to general availability.
Do you support DNSSEC?
Yes. DNSSEC is included with every .gy domain we register and is configured automatically as part of the setup. You do not need to request it separately.
How do I pay?
Payment is via MMG (Mobile Money Guyana). No payment is collected through the website form. After you submit your registration request, we confirm availability and send payment instructions. Registration is completed within a few hours of payment being confirmed.
